At FAP Power Solutions, we take pride in delivering electrical panels that are not only technically sound but also meticulously tested and documented. The recent project involved the complete design, wiring, assembly, and commissioning of a custom-built control panel tailored to the client’s operational requirements.
The Final Process
Once the wiring, labeling, and component placement were completed, our team conducted a full round of internal inspections. Every connection was verified, and the cable management was checked for accuracy, safety, and compliance with Canadian standards.
Following this, we performed functional testing to ensure all input and output signals, protection devices, and relays responded as expected. The system indicators were programmed for “System On” and “System Off” statuses, and backup safety mechanisms were validated.
Before delivery, the panel enclosure was carefully sealed, equipped with ventilation components, and prepared for long-term reliability in indoor conditions. The completed panel was then packaged, labeled, and transported to the client’s facility for installation.
Documentation Handover
With the physical panel, we also provided a Panel Function File. This document describes:
- System Overview: The panel is designed as a PLC-based control system for safe and efficient monitoring of loads.
- Power Distribution: Includes a main supply with properly rated breakers and surge protection to ensure stable performance.
- PLC & I/O Modules: Centralized control through Siemens PLC and I/O modules that process all input signals and activate output devices.
- Relay Bank: Provides switching and protection functions for controlled circuits.
- Indicators:
- Green light: System On and Ready.
- Red light: System Off or Fault condition.
- Safety Features: Built-in protective relays, labeled terminals, and clearly routed cabling reduce risk and simplify maintenance.
- Environmental Ratings: Designed for indoor use with a working temperature range of -4°F to 122°F.
Client Benefits
- Reliability: Precision wiring and robust testing ensure stable operation.
- Ease of Maintenance: Every cable and terminal is labeled for quick troubleshooting.
- Scalability: The modular layout allows for future expansions without major redesigns.
- Compliance: Built according to Canadian Electrical Code and industry safety standards.
The final delivery of this control panel reflects our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. It is now fully ready for integration into the client’s system, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
